The range of services offered by CROSSWAY include Ultra-High Pressure Hydroblasting. Whether steel or concrete, surfaces to receive protective coatings must be clean and free of deleterious materials. Often one of the fastest and safest methods to achieve this effect is using Water as an abrasive. Water under high pressure, correctly applied, efficiently removes existing coatings, roughens concrete surfaces, and removes surface contaminants. UHP Water will cut and remove thick film elastomeric coatings from which abrasives like steel or coal slag only bounce.
The equipment utilized by CROSSWAY is efficient (40,000 psi), portable (trailer-mounted), and safe (auto shutoffs and rupture discs guard against over-pressuring). Various configurations, nozzles, and accessories (i.e. floor machines) allow CROSSWAY to engineer the correct solution for any prep or removal situation. CROSSWAY employees undergo intensive training in the safe and correct operation of the equipment.
While the costs of UHP Hydroblasting may parallel more traditional surface preparation methods, abrasive-blasting for example, in many cases time can be saved on a project and risk minimized by utilizing Hydroblasting. Schedule gains may offset costs in many instances. Minimizing excessive dust, reduction of respiratory hazards, and no sparking are other advantages UHP enjoys over Dry-abrasive Blasting.
CROSSWAY owns and operates two (2) UHP units (no rental equipment). Dedicated technicians use this equipment day in and day out, 8-10 hours per day, and are uniquely familiar with safe operating procedures. Similar to other specialty equipment and operations, this experience can mean the difference between success and failure of the coating system. Other contractors who only lease this equipment for certain jobs and allow their everyday employees to operate it run a high risk of an incident. Let CROSSWAY show you how the power and experience in Ultra-High Pressure Hydroblasting can impact your next project.
